Ok... I got no updates for a long time coz I got a very HECTIC schedule. I'm also sad to say that I'm leaving Xanga as my official webjournal. I have found a new one wherein even non-Xangans can post comments on my webjournal entries. This webblog will remain coz my entries since I started this up til this very moment still matters to me.

Anyway, my new webjournal is hosted by http://www.bravenet.com.

OMG! I can't believe it! Iwas able to perform the First Aid CPR and AR/RB for both adult and infant and revive 'em (though it was just a dummy)! It was so tiring especially if you're compressing the chest area and giving the maximum blow to the adult victim.

I'm almost done with my caregiver course. I'll be out next week to have my on-the-job training to three different health institutions:

August 15-20 : Asingan Hospital

August 22-26 : Breaking Barriers for Children (Special)

August 29- Sept 2: Bahay Puso(home-for-the-aged), Bataan

I'm nervous with these schedules and I'm pretty sure, the above schedule is VERY stressful. Anyway, God bless and good luck to all of us!

April 25, my mom hired Manong Rocky to trim the chico tree located at the left side of our yard. My mom found a bird's nest in one of the cut twigs of the tree. On nest lives a newly-hatched bird maybe around two days old. The poor lil bird opens her big beak thinkin' that her mother is around to feed her. I pitied her so much. They said, she won't survived but I can't afford to just throw her away. I decided to take good care of her despite the knowledge the her chances of surviving is very slim. I tired to feed her with bits of cooked rice grain and I have a hard time doin' it. I thought she won't survived with such kind of food. I was wrong 'coz she lived with us for six days!

On the 26th and 27th, I really extent my patience in feeding her with bits of cooked rice grain using a tweezer and drop her water using a piece of cotton. There was an incidence wherein she defecated in on my palm while I'm feeding her. Hehehe! On the 28th, I've noticed her size increased and there were very fine feathers onset on her wings and thighs. I named her Birdie Bird. I was so happy with her growth!. On the next day, I've noticed she's also affected with the weather's changes. If its cold, I cover her with a piece of tissue paper to keep her warm. If it's hot, I move her nest where there is sufficient air. Around 4-6 pm of the same day, Birdie Bird impressed me and my mom coz she responded sweetly with our "Tweet-Tweet". She had a good appetite too. How lovely to see her attempt to stand as we feed her!

I checked her when I woke up on the 30th, she's still asleep. I thought she's not yet hungry so I let her enjoy her sleep. It was my Prelim Exam, so I left her custody to my mom. Due to unavoidable circumstances, Birdie Bird was left alone. My mom casted her vote for the PANELCO III election. She feed Birdie Bird but mom noticed that she is a lil weak. When I got home from SPI, I saw her condition. I tried my best to help her fight her sickness... but my best was not enough. I've witnessed how she casted her last breath on my left palm. As she finally rest on peace, her beak was half open... she looks like she's smiling. She died that way facing me as I cuddle her on my left palm exactly 10:40 PM. I can't help but cry. I loved Birdie Bird who is just 2 inches long from its beak to the end of her body and with a width of 1/2 inch. She's my first bird pet. But maybe her legacy is until there... I'm still lucky to have her with me, surviving without her real mom for six days. Maybe it sounds corny but the issue here is that we should not refuse to extend our helping hand to those who badly needed it... whether another human being or just an animal like Birdie Bird.

I'm in equilibrum now... though I haven't took a vacation yet. Before anything else, I wanna review what had happened these past few days.

March 12

Anatomy and Physiology (Module 2) Exam. Gesh! Got hard time memorizing those medical terms! I neglected to memorized the 12 cranial nerves, with that, I lost 13 points already! Damn! Thought I wouldn't pass the exam, but when the result came out the day after, luckily, I made it! =)

March 18

Lunch with STI-Urdaneta Faculty & Staff. we went out to have a fine dine in at Matutina, a resto known for seafoods here in Pangasinan. It was a lot of fun but right after the lunch when we came back at the office, a not-so-good news made us lost our tongue for a moment. =(

March 19

Return Demo (Sponge Bathin' an Infant/Baby). I was 5th of the student who performed this skill. It was so crap of me! I forgot to sponge bath  the baby's back and put some petroleum jelly before puttin' the diaper! Honestly, I don't have real-life experience in bathin' a baby coz I'm the only child and I guess, I'm not fully concentrated coz of what I've heard yesterday that's why it didn't went good. Anyway, the baby is just a doll! Lols!

March 20

Children's Day at Skill Power Institute (SPI)-Urdaneta Sort of a family day too. Coz my married classmates brougth thier kids (ages 2-12) and their husbands with 'em. I brought Pamela with me. She is a 6 years old daughter of my mom's co-teacher. We brought these kids to observe their behavior and how they interact eith the toys that are appropriate for their ages. A simple party was held too: parlor games, foods and token-giving to the participants. Token includes balloon, candies and angel figurines. It was a lot of fun!!! Wait.... gotta work out with the reaction paper! Lols!

With regrads to the "planned" vacation, I chose Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.I missed this place so much. Those UNESCO claimed heritage ... old house and churches resembling Spanish, Japanese or American era's architecture. And of course, the Vigan bibingka (a native delicacy) and what I'm hearin' (but not yet tasted) Vigan empanada. And yea, I wanna dropped by Candon to buy some calamay & chichacorn. BUT I COULDN'T MAKE IT THIS SUMMER! =( Some unavoidable circumtances and HUGE CHANGES are goin' on. It seems that I'm gonna start from scratch again... huhuhu!! Even the trainings I'm supposed to attend on April 25-28 (OSEEP) and May -5 (Exam Preparation) are hangin'. Actually, everybody in the school where I'm teachin' is hangin' too!

Talking about GOOD changes, why not check out my website? It has a new look...

Before I'll end this post, I would like to say to y'all., "Changes are part of our lives... whether for the better or for the worst. And we are bound to adapt with it coz this make us into a better person."

HAPPY EASTER for tomorrow. Hunt that egg! hehehe! Til here!
